Marketing Specialist

Job Summary:


Marketing Specialists typically work for corporations in a variety of industries as a part of the marketing department. They work closely with the marketing, sales and business development teams to find ways to market their company and its offerings. Their job is to use their knowledge of SEO tactics to generate leads to product pages or the company website. They may also be responsible for creating certain forms of content like blog posts or infographics to aid the production of marketing campaign materials.

Key Responsibilities:


Market Research and Analysis Tasks

  • Conducting in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, competitor activities, and potential market gaps.

·         Analytical thinking, industry knowledge, and data interpretation.

Technical Support

·         Develop and execute marketing strategies to support business development goals.

·         Manage digital marketing efforts (website, SEO, LinkedIn, Google Ads).

·         Monitor campaign performance and generate regular reports.

·         Coordinate with creative/design teams to produce brochures, presentations, and technical profiles.

Lead Generation and Prospecting

  • Identifying and qualifying potential leads through networking, outreach, cold calls, LinkedIn, and other channels.

·         Communication, research, and relationship-building.

Customer Support:

·         Act as the main point of contact for customer inquiries related to marketing activities, products, and services.

·         Provide timely and effective solutions to customer issues through phone, email, or in-person communication.

·         Facilitate the resolution of customer complaints and concerns, ensuring customer satisfaction.

 

Proposal Development and Negotiation

  • Writing and delivering business proposals, including pricing, terms, and project scope. Negotiating deals and agreements with clients or partners.
  • Persuasion, negotiation, and proposal writing.

 

Content Creation and Copywriting

  • Ability to create compelling, clear, and concise written content, including blog posts, ads, product descriptions, and social media updates.

·         Engaging and persuasive content is vital to attract and retain customers. Well-written content helps convey the brand message effectively.

 

Brand Management

  • Understanding how to create, maintain, and enhance a brand’s identity and reputation in the market.

·         A consistent brand image is key to building trust and recognition with customers.



Key Skills & Qualifications:


  • Education: bachelor's degree in marketing specialist or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of marketing experience. Preferably in a group of companies
  • Leadership: the strengths and abilities individuals demonstrate that help to oversee processes, guide initiatives and steer their employees toward the achievement of goals.
  • Expertise: refers to the deep knowledge and skill set a professional need to effectively create, implement, and manage marketing strategies that align with a company’s goals.

Communication Skills

 

  • Excellent communication skills in English & Chinese (Oral – Written).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

 

Soft Skills:

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members.

·         Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

·         Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
