Accountant

Job Summary:


The Accountant will manage financial transactions, ensure accuracy and compliance with local regulations, and support the financial health of a diverse group of companies. This role demands a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive professional with strong analytical skills and the ability to multitask effectively.

Key Responsibilities:


Financial Management

  •  Prepare, examine, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with local regulations (e.g., Zakat, Tax, and VAT laws).
  •  Handle general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.

Budgeting & Reporting

  •  Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts for various companies under the group.
  •  Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to support management in decision-making.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction

. Taxation & Compliance

  • Manage Zakat, VAT, and corporate tax filings in compliance with Saudi Arabian regulations.
  •  Liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities during audits or reviews.
  •   Ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies.

Internal Controls & Process Improvement Tasks

  •  Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
  •  Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  •  Collaborate with other departments to support cross-functional financial activities.

 Payroll Management

  • Process monthly payroll, including salary calculations, allowances, and deductions.
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi labor laws and company policies.

 

Key Skills & Qualifications:

 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification is a plus).
  • Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a group of companies.

Experience in managing financial operations in Saudi Arabia, including VAT, Zakat, and other local regulations.

  • Skills:
    •  Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards (e.g., IFRS).
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
